Seeking Mercy From God

Seeking Mercy From God
Key Insights:

This is the month of resurrection. The Lord will remove what’s been giving you anxiety. Amen
  • When everything looks bleak, God’s mercy will be with us. The mercy of the Lord will locate you. Be encouraged don’t lose hope. Put in your very best effort regarding what you know to do and leave the rest to Him.
  • We know the story of Daniel, where the Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar, had issued a decree to destroy all the wise men in the land if they could not help him understand a disturbing dream he had.  His actions were irrational. The wise men tried to help, they also told Daniel about the decree and Daniel asked for a few days more to find out the meaning and not be executed. Daniel 2:1-7, 16-19
  • There’s an account of a President who couldn’t interpret his dream. He was dreaming of a sheep heading to the shoreline. He didn’t act irrational, instead of declaring the execution of others, he went to a theater with his wife. While sitting there, he was shot and died on April 15, 1865.  The shoreline in his dream represented eternity. God speaks to us through dreams, revelations and the Holy Spirit.
  • Whatever you’re going through, it’s not based on your own wisdom.  It is of the Lords mercies, we’re not consumed. Lamentations 3:22
  • We must acknowledge God with humility and confession of our sins. Do not lean into your own understanding, trust in the Lord with all your heart.  Proverbs 3:5
  • We must continue to praise and worship God when things look bleak. We must seek Gods face and give him All the glory, just as Daniel did. The secrets will be revealed. Daniel 2:19-22
  • There’s wisdom and there’s tact. Wisdom is having knowledge and the capacity to make due use of it. Tact is knowing how to say something.  This is the time to pray NOT the time to panic.
  • King Nebuchadnezzar called all the wise men of his time and was told no man can interpret his dream. Although we know Daniel was able to because he went to God first. Today, all leaders are called to resolve the Coronavirus. God is the higher power and can turn it around. Daniel was faithful and sought out the face of God and praised him first.  We are able to stand before anything, when we kneel in front of God.  Daniel stood before the king after he first sought out God.
Even during these bleak times, know there is a God in Heaven. He is the same God today, hearing and answering prayers. Keep praying and remaining faithful. When we seek God first, he will give us mercy.  Solutions will come for us. Calm your fears, trust in the Lord, exult Him. Pray more and study the bible more.

Hold strong on your prayers. He’s still in the business of answering prayers!
