Welfare & Outreach Ministry
Introduction
The Welfare and Outreach Ministry is dedicated to demonstrating Christ’s love through acts of compassion, service, and support for those in need. Our mission is to extend God’s grace to individuals and families, offering hope, encouragement, and tangible assistance while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Mission Statement
To embody the love of Christ by meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals within the church and the community. Through outreach and service, we aim to transform lives and bring glory to God.
Guiding Text: Luke 3:11 (NKJV) He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
Membership
Membership in the Welfare and Outreach Ministry is open to all church members who are passionate about serving others and making a positive impact. Whether you are gifted in organizing, mentoring, or simply offering a helping hand, your contributions are valuable to this ministry.
Programs and Events
Our ministry organizes a variety of programs and initiatives to serve both our church family and the broader community. Some of our key activities include:
• Food Drives and Distribution: Collecting and distributing food to families and individuals in need.
• Clothing and Essentials Donations: Providing clothing, hygiene kits, and other essential items to those in crisis.
• Community Service Projects: Partnering with local organizations to clean neighborhoods, repair homes, and improve living conditions.
• Visitation Ministry: Reaching out to the sick, elderly, and homebound with care packages, prayer, and fellowship.
• Emergency Assistance Program: Offering financial or material aid to those facing unexpected hardships.
• Seasonal Outreach Events: Hosting events such as back-to-school drives, holiday meals, and toy distributions for underserved families.
• Workshops and Support Groups: Providing resources and counseling for personal development, financial literacy, and emotional well-being.
