August 2022 theme: Destroying Evil Strongholds

Happy new month brethren.  Glory to God again and again for His unfailing preservatives power over our lives. Hallelujah!!!!!
Here we are in the eight month already. It is like few days ago we all said happy new year. Truly this year is a year of “ Greater Accomplishments” according to the word of God for us at the beginning of the year. This month, The Lord shall destroy every evil strongholds in and around our lives in Jesus most precious name, Amen. Seeing the Lord doing this for us surely is another “ greater accomplishment “.

Evil Strongholds are formidable establishments that limit or restrict advancements in life. They are designed to frustrate or destroy destiny of anyone that are kept in there.
For every strongholds there is a strongman that is in charge. The head of this evil strongholds is Satan and he works with demons that he assigns to the lives of people.
He attacks people through what the world calls ‘addiction’ but the spiritual name is ‘strongholds’.

Types of strongholds: Godly stronghold and evil strongholds

Godly strongholds are hiding place or holding place of protection. This is when The Lord becomes a shield for you.

Nahum 1:7 (NKJV)
7 The LORD is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.

2 Samuel 22:3 (NKJV)
3 The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence.

Evil strongholds are often times the result of sins. This could be as a result of not living a righteous life or as a result of presence of generational sins or evil covenants entered into even before one is born.

Who is an evil strongman?

• The controller over a group of evil spirits
• The ruling spirit over a group of evil spirits
• The power source and the dominating influence in a particular situation
• The principal demon or leading demon
• He is the dominant demon
• He is the head demon
• The prison warden of the devil

The good news is The Lord has power over every evil strongman operating any stronghold over our lives. By His mercy, He will destroy every of such strongholds this month in Jesus name. But you and I need to look inward to ourselves and repent of any unrighteousness that may be going on in our lives and then the mercy of God can prevail for us.

The Bible makes us understand that when we turn to the Lord, He shall deliver us according to:
Isaiah 49:24-26 (NKJV)
24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty,
Or the captives of the righteous be delivered?
25 But thus says the LORD:
“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away,
And the prey of the terrible be delivered;
For I will contend with him who contends with you,
And I will save your children.
26 I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh,
And they shall be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine.

All flesh shall knowThat I, the LORD, am your Savior, And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
