Text: Psalms 33:22 (NKJV)
Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us,
Just as we hope in You.
Happy new month, and welcome to our month of Mercy in the year of our “Rest on all Sides”.
Brethren, if the Lord does not have mercy on someone, no man can show true mercy. Mercy is of the Lord and He steers the hearts of men to show mercy to another. May the hearts of men be steered towards you this month for mercy in Jesus name. Anyone that hope in God is a candidate of God’s mercy. It is the reverential fear you have for God that will enroll you in the school of God’s mercy.
What then qualifies you for enrollment is you declaring to Him that you are helpless without Him. That you want to be controlled and led by His Spirit.
When you are in the mercy of God, God protects you jealously. However, to receive His mercy, you have to walk uprightly , that is, avoid things that could bring sin upon you.
You must come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and you can’t be living in sin and want to come boldly because God cannot be mocked.
So, resolve to stay away from sin in other to receive God’s mercy in an unusual way this month: mercy for protection from sickness and diseases, from shame and reproach , to turn impossibilities to possibilities etc. It shall be well with you as Mercy speaks for you, in Jesus name.
