This storm shall pass

May 2021 Theme:  “This storm shall pass”
Text: Psalms 107:29 (NKJV)

29 He calms the storm, so that its waves are still.

Have you ever stood in the middle of the storm and experienced God's presence beyond the expanse of the storm? A sudden peace and calmness that washes over you? God’s hand taking hold of you and protecting you from harm? I am praying that you will start experiencing this going forward in Jesus name.

I am yet to see a dark cloud that produces a big storm that haven’t bowed to bright sunshine. After every darkness comes light!!!
I make a decree concerning you, I may not know the extent of your storm but this I know, “this storm shall pass from you in Jesus name”. When we are going through situations in life, there are two things that are very close and present with us: power of God and power of the storm.

You have the choice to choose the power you want to be under. Choosing to be under God’s power gives you the edge over the power of the storm- greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world- 1 John 4:4b

What are storms of life?
These are life very challenging situations and circumstances that will often time overwhelm you. It could be marital, financial, domestic, academic, relationships, medical etc. God at times permits storms to come our ways. There are some storms that God will allow for a redirection of focus; or to check your faith , or maybe to release you from your situation.

The most important assurance we need to know is, God will always be there with us as He had already made it clear He will never leave nor forsake us- Deuteronomy 4:31 (NKJV) 31 (for the LORD your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.

Some of the important things we should keep at the back of our mind this month when going through Storms Of Life are:
Know that God is your faithful Protector. Thessalonians 3:3 (NKJV) 3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. Know that God hears you when you cry out to Him-Psalms 107:28 (NKJV) 28 Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble,And He brings them out of their distresses.

Know that God is with you in the midst of the storm-  Psalms 46:1 (NKJV) God is our refuge, a very present help in trouble.
Whether you are facing a personal crisis today or not, be sure that when the storms comes, the power of God will move the storm and it will pass from your life in Jesus name.
